Hi! You found my super-secret services page – that means somebody I’ve already worked with thought I did a good job and told you about it. Which is great because I don’t have to give you the hard sell. 🙂
If you want to cut to the chase, just scroll down for info on my copywriting, copy-editing and transcription services.
If you’re a sucker for the seductive experience of a lovingly-crafted sales page, then please by all means read on!
As the recent BBC article below proves, it’s essential to get the details right when producing content for the web and print.
Spelling Mistakes ‘Cost Millions’ in Lost Online Sales – BBC Online, 14th July 2011
Even if you don’t have something to sell, inaccurate or sloppy content can seriously affect your credibility and reputation.
I can help you ensure your content is not only accurate, clear and professional, but also speaks to your readers in a friendly, engaging manner that aligns seamlessly with your unique brand or personality.
If you’re after crisp, clear copy that gets your point across in a conversational, friendly tone of voice, I can help.
I’m also pretty good at adding a dash of light-hearted humour where appropriate (and if you’re US-based, I’ll even change the spelling to ‘humor’ at no extra charge).
I’ve written for a variety of print and web publications including The Guardian, Journalism.co.uk, iSource.com and Pick The Brain; high profile Scottish publications such as The Scotsman, The Edinburgh Evening News, The List & The Skinny Magazine, and organisations and businesses such as The Scottish Government and LEWIS Creative Consultants.
Proofreading & Copyediting
I’ve got a killer instinct for clarity, spelling and grammar. My main focus is on making sure you sound professional and your message is as powerful as possible, as well as highlighting/correcting any potentially embarrassing errors.
Maybe your existing copy just needs a bit more clarity, brevity and personality? I’m like Kung Fu Panda when it comes to whipping words into shape (at the end of the film when he’s kicking ass of course, not at the beginning when he’s all fat and lazy).
I spent 3 years as a Media Monitor for the Scottish Government, transcribing radio and television news each day to tight deadlines and ministerial pressure. My transcripts have been read out in the Scottish Parliament by the First Minister, so you know you can rely on them being 100% accurate, well-laid out and professional.
Milo’s transcriptions are awesome! He has a fast turnaround, and the PDF or Doc files are flawless. I save a lot of time as I don’t have to edit his transcriptions. I have used Milo a few times already and will definitely choose his services again in the future. If you need a service that’s both ‘fast’ and ‘top quality’, Milo is the answer to your prayers.

My copywriting and copy-editing rates will depend on your needs. Please get in touch to let me know your requirements and I’ll provide you with an estimate (hint: my rates are currently extremely reasonable compared to more established copywriters but will increase soon).
My current rate for transcriptions is $1.60 or £1 per audio minute, including formatting to your specification (PDF etc). You may pay less elsewhere, but it could mean wasted time checking for and correcting unnecessary errors.
Please get in touch if you’re interested in working together – I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
